Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3-4

The military men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces are truly a field that is white unto harvest. Those who serve our great country are in need of a Savior, a Redeemer who can protect, comfort, and bring the victory not only on the battlefield but in the heart.

Missionaries Jesse and Lynne have a vision for the souls of our military personnel and their families.

Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish…”

Our Lord Jesus Christ is that Savior. America has over one million Armed Forces personnel; over 33,000 personnel along with their families are stationed in Japan. Jesse and Lynne Pilalas have been led to bring the message of hope to the military men and women stationed in Misawa, Japan as missionaries to the military.

For two years, the Pilalases served at Maranatha Baptist Church, just outside Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan. Jesse served as the teen director and taught 6th grade at Maranatha Baptist Academy, and Lynne taught 1st grade. While serving at Maranatha, Jesse and Lynne saw the need for military missions throughout Japan. Sent by Maranatha Baptist Church and through Baptist International Missions, the Pilalas family went on deputation to raise some of the support needed to reach the servicemen and servicewomen of Misawa Air Base, Japan. In July of 2013, the Lord prompted the Pilalases to finish deputation and begin serving at Faith Baptist Church in Misawa, Japan.

As they partner with local churches, Jesse and Lynne pray that the Lord will use them in a mighty way to reach those who protect the freedoms that all Americans enjoy. As missionaries to the military, the Pilalas family’s sole mission is to reach the military for the Lord.

Please join the Pilalas family with your prayers and support, as they desire to reach the field as quickly as the Lord will allow them. Financial support can be sent to Baptist International Missions, Inc. account #1386.
